Cummings: 'Art in contaminatio'

"this tiny park is empty (all are elsewhere, and here I am with sparrows 6) Autumn & rain
lapioggialapioggia"

This is one of the poems Edward Estlin Cummings (Cambridge, Mass., 1894 - New Conway, New Hampshire, 1962), the poet par excellence was the "artist of words" in American literature of the twentieth century, which transformed into a sheet palette, combining the words as signs and colors to the metric of the movement as an aesthetic expression of feelings that creep in the sur-reality by the unconscious where imagination mingles dream to the reality of the meanings expressed in verse. Just

cummigsiani verses are the theme of the opening of Eliseo Lagana, presented on 1 July at the 'Pickwick Papers' (Via Ghibellina, 32 - Messina) by Francis Bonardelli collaboration with Salvatore Di Giacomo, translator Messina 50 author's unpublished poems collected in "Love Poems" by EE Cummings (published by "The Letters"), some of the verses were read by actors and Ivana Zimbaro Luca Fiorino. Poetic views of Eliseo Lagana give life to that contaminatio inherent to the poetry of Cummings, for which each poetry was illogical and figurative expression of his feelings, written as imagined, as if to show (with frequent enjambement) the opening words of irrational emotion that follows the intensity with short (sometimes a single letter) or 's union more onomatopoeic words (like "pioggialapioggia). The collection "Love Poems" is enriched by the art of translation by Salvatore Di Giacomo, not merely to interpret the meaning of words from English into Italian, but also recreates the feeling of the original poet, combining the signifier ( word-phoneme) with the meaning (content). The paintings of Elisha Lagat are "interior landscapes" that display the words of Cummings the run, not categorized as grammatical forms, but as self-identity that the painting style, and the metric translates into verse. As long as the player becomes the imaginary interlocutor in Mr. Cummings' poem "Inside Himself:

" He does not look anything
He does not try something he does not look

what
not see anything out of himself but nothing

itself but himself

himself as not as some anyone not as any someone

just a nobody (which is all) "
